About us

During the holidays I went to work with my parents in a warehouse down a dark ally in Kentish Town, North London. I remember the smell of dusty boxes. There was aisle upon aisle of costume jewellery treasures. I would spend my time rummaging through troves of broken jewellery and stringing together long necklaces. I was surrounded by beads in every colour and material – plastic, shell, ceramic, glass, semi-precious, marcasite, Swarovski stones, pearl, wood.... alongside meters of chain and shelves of stampings. I was blessed to have a world of resources at my fingertips.
